Award for Czech Theatre Spitfire Company

The Czech company Spitfire Company won one of the main prizes at The Edinburgh Festival Fringe in Scotland. It was awarded to the production The End of Man?!? based on the books by the Belarusian Nobel Prize winner Svetlana Alexievich.

The Scotsman Fringe First Award, the Spitfire Company’s prize is given to shows for their experimental form and for opening up heavy social issues. However, the performance was not only appreciated by the festival itself but also received praise from The Guardian, The Telegraph and The Scotsman, which were published during the festival.

The topicality of the theme of spreading misinformation and creating disillusionment in states with repressive policies has managed to resonate in the current times.
