Rozalie Havelkova’s American tour

New York, Philadelphia, Washington: Czech accordion singer Rozalie Havelkova performed on a short American tour.

Rozálie Havelková’s songwriting works with accordion playing, folk motifs and the sound of the caberet chanson. However, the singer’s music, work and performance could hardly be reduced to these three themes, however characteristic of her artistic expression.

She has played for international audiences in a historic hall, a club café and a modern cultural centre. A very diverse international audience awaited her at the Kennedy Center for the Arts in Washington, D.C., and the Millennium Stage was the largest venue Rozálie Havelka has performed on in the United States. In New York, on the other hand, she performed in the more intimate Bohemian National Hall. The audience, which represented a beautiful crossing of nationalities and generations, even asked for an encore.
