At the end of the international design show, the winners of eight categories were announced. Who has been successful this year?
The twenty-fifth anniversary year of Designblok brought eight winners in various categories judged by industry professionals and visitors themselves.
Grand Prix (Outstanding Achievement Awards): Cake Houses – architectural recipe for a wooden house adaptable to its new owner.
Best furniture category: mmcité – morse code inspired wooden urban furniture.
Best home accessories category: LLEV – objects formed by blowing glass into moulds made of a mixture of mycelium.
Best designer installation category: Marie Radke – humorous & innovative solutions to everyday objects in monochrome installation.
Best school presentation category: UMPRUM – interactive project UMPRUM.Wav, an unusual view of musical instruments.
AGC Glass Europe Award for Sustainable Design: Ineke Hans – Dutch sustainable chair.
People’s choice category: Jan Plecháč for Moser – poetic installation.
Best manufacturer installation category: Jan Plecháč for Moser – once again the glass company and their cooperation with designer Jan Plecháč was appreciated.
